She wondered

Kitty Kilian, She wondered if children really improved a marriage, mixed media, 17,5 x 24 cm

I remember the baby days.

Smell was all of a sudden an important sense.

I remember looking at my firstborn for the first time. Nothing had ever been beautiful before him.

I felt like I had finally arrived.

Beautiful! It´s so nice to follow your work! Every time you show something new, I think; `This is your best piece!`

I love this one … the expression on both of their faces … priceless and so apt a title!

Mooi! En dat gezicht van dat kindje. Ik moest hierbij denken aan het werk van Berend Strik. Zijn familiefoto’s waar hij overheen heeft geborduurd, ken je die? (vast wel!)

so you are free of cynicism in your art? (mine isn’t) But you are ironic sometimes, right?

Hi Alexandra! I am usually ironic, some would call it cynical. One of the readers of my newsletter came up with this tagline and I had to laugh so loud I knew it was right. Because it is a joke in itself..
