Swiss Fiber artist: Malou Zryd

My husband brought home a patchwork catalogue from Switserland last weekend in which I found this amazingly beautiful needlework by Malou Zryd (Patchwork contemporain Suisse & Europeen)

There is little information on her website, alas. An tiny article in Profil Femme says she used to do embroider small pieces by hand but recently took to machine embroidery. She uses recycled material or rough linnen as a base for intricate silk embroidery. I am totally in love with the rough and modern rendering of these old motifs.. the coats evoke memories of high courts but the needlework is pleasantly wild.
