SIDE STITCH

A half hour sketch to start the day – in a different medium than my usual drawing and eraser cutting. Just playing around with a stack of leftover newspapers and my sewing machine. I will be doing this for the next month and so will my pal Kathryn Clark from San Francisco – but as she is a fiber artist she will be playing around with fiber. Kathryn is inspired by all things simple and loves Japan. Go see her weblog. We will post thumbnails of our side stitches in the side bars or of weblogs. The full pictures will go here.

And here is Kathryn’s first Side Stitch:

Interesting to follow our stich art. I love the sewn line. and the way it can also become a way to make collage if you want to.
