We installed the Fishes and Birds exhibition in Scherpenzeel today. The art route is opening on thursday. Three sign posts with my poetry and pictures got installed along the route while I was there – the soil is very soft in this peat polder. So everyone just jumped onto and hung on the posts to sink them in. (The woman on the right is Titi Zaadnoordijk, organiser of the art route and friend).

Whenever I am in this quiet and beautiful part of the country I wonder why on earth we don’t move here. Why we stay in a large city with bad air and lots of nervous people. But well, we never move.

See that beautiful big Frisian farm in the distance? That would make a nice home.

Love the signs! Best of luck with the show!
I sometimes wonder the same thing, why stay in San Francisco, especially when it's sunny and warm everywhere else during the summer while we freeze with the month long fog spells!
