I promised Chum to post a few pics of my studio.
In my mind I don’t call it a studio, it is more of a study.
This is the room I keep all of my art books plus a lot of my husbands.
It was furnished as an office when I was still a journalist. If I could redo it I would pick a different room in the house altogether, one that has better light. I would also love a wood floor, or at least one that you can sweep!
Then again I love it anyway, if only because it holds so many favourite items.

I long to get away from my Mac more.
From all the old stuff I have collected you can probably guess that I am still a historian at heart.
So – there is my workspace.
Now show me yours!
(Jo James already did, here.)

Finally, we get to see your studio! It's lovely, very organized … as much as me! Here's a peek at mine! http://www.flickr.com/photos/kathrynclark/sets/72157615421754735/
Kitty! Thanks so much for sharing your studio space…I am impressed. Mine could totally use a makeover–I'll share then! :) I love each plate in your gorgeous collection. And I especially loved the entire cupful of perfectly sharpened pencils in your toolbox…so industrious!
Ha, glad you think it's organised! Of course I only photographed details :-) There is a lot of stuff pushed behind chairs and such…
Ps Yours is a model one, Kathryn! And Maeg, I was tired of sharpening pencils all the time so I bought a lot and just pick a new one ever ten minutes.
Wat is tie lief die paperbunny! Hi, hi, en het bord boring parents is super grappig! En wat een heerlijk werkruimte heb je, ben best een beetje jaloers ;-)
thanks for the photos, kitty! your space looks fun, organized but not intimidatingly so — perfect for working.
leuk om bij jou te gluren. moest ook even lachen om het bord boring parents!
enne vroeg me af mooie jaszakschatten tussen de Beads and finds ;)
Fabulous tour of your studio, thanks Kitty. I love all of those plates, particularly the humorous one featuring your son, as well as that sculpture of your Grandmother.
Yet of course my eyes are drawn to that selection of hand carved stamps on your table! I think if I were standing in the room next to you I could barely contain not having a closer look : )
Never saw this…great space…love your son’s creation especially…:-)
