Until mid May some of my prints and mixed media work is on view in a locally wellknown ‘window-gallery’ at Oudegracht 244, in Utrechts medieval city center.
The pictures give a surround view of the window and the Oudegracht. You can spot the canal under the tree in the last picture!
I came across another print of my cat on the blog of another Utrechter just now: Carly. She is doing a fine job of collecting lots of interesting eye candy. Globally. This is the cat in her house:
The cat in the picture is originally from New York. His name is Beauregard Taplitzky.
I used him in a collage inspired by a quote from the mildly famous, melancholic pre-war Utrecht writer C.C.S. Crone:
‘Op het Predikherenkerkhof zat een kat met een papieren hoedje aan haar staart.’
‘At Predikherenkerkhof (a Utrecht street) there was a cat wearing a paper hat on its tail.’
The buildings in the collage are from pictures I took from the modern day Predikherenkerkhof, shuffled and altered.
Carly herself does all sort of creative things, like decorating second hand tableware.
So I bet we’ll be hearing more of her!
Go check out her blog.

Yeah, congrats on the show! It looks wonderful and what a great location! Love the cat picture. reminds me of my last cat, Steppenwolfe.
liep zondagavond in het donker door Utrecht zo tegen je tentoonstelling aan.
Bijzonder om je werk in het echt te zien ( en nog mooier )
Thanks! I thought you lived far, far away Elianne!
